For all girls, but especially for all girls with tangles in their hair…

Mia’s nest is a Dutch Little Golden Book, published by Rubinstein Publishing in October 2014. Mia’s nest is the story about Mia, whose hair is all tangled up. When her mom announces that they will go to the hairdresser’s to have Mia’s hair cut short, Mia turns to her bird friends for help.
When the amazing talented Angela Pelaez Vargas told me the idea and showed me the illustrations, I was sold the second I laid my eyes on her gorgeous pencil illustrations. With a son whose nickname in primary school was bird’s nest,
I could not but write Mia’s story and we were on cloud nine when Rubinstein took the project and decided to publish it as a Little Golden Book. A Little Golden Book! That was a dream come true.
El nido de Mia, the Spanish version of Mia’s nest, followed in 2016. Angela translated the story for Panamericana, a publisher in her native country Colombia. El nido de Mia is for sale in the US, too!

Unfortunately when you click on the link on the Dutch website it links to bol.com and there is only a second hand book available voor almost 37 euros. Thank you for the reply tho!
